This custom home is a showcase of artistry and craftmanship, with reclaimed wood details throughout and polished concrete floors with radiant heating. Pete and the homeowner, an artist and environmentalist from a local timber family, collaborated on the detailed tile and mosaic work. The large open living space features striking, daylight illumination and playful details like two openings in the floor for planted trees and a staircase rail cascading with plants. The energy-efficiency features of this home include PV and solar hot water, a heat recovery ventilator, and Galvalume roof.
